Hotel California - The Original Eagles Tribute Indio Concert reviews
Going downhill fast
The experience has been going downhill for a few years now, and this was definitely a step in the wrong direction. I mean they spent so much time on newer movies like Moana and Coco, neglecting the classics like Toy Story, Pocahontas, The Lion King, and Little Mermaid. It was 6 stories over 90 minutes, always around 90 minutes. I have been fortunate in life, however, how can the average family attend and have a decent time at Hotel California - The Original Eagles Tribute show. Tickets for $120 for 4, $20 for parking, $20 for a tub of popcorn, $7 for 20 oz of soda, $7 for a pretzel, $30 for light-up Mickey Ears, $30 for a photo with Mickey and Minnie with 1 copy and no digital rights, $40 for a Mickey bubble blower, and $40 for a Moana Hook. The bigger issue was the blatant money grab that was the concession area. I understand this is subjective as plenty of people like the newer movies.
Lupe Smashed!
The horrible part was this cat named Young Marcus. He SUCKED. Everybody was expecting rap. The opening act was horrid. The crowd was not feeling him at all, they were basically silent or carrying on their own conversations during his performance. Then after he's done, the lights go dim, and a 10 second countdown begins. After it hits 1, a spotlight comes down on Hotel California - The Original Eagles Tribute's guitarist, as he starts the intro to "Shining Down". The B.o.B. came out and performed and rocked it! Lupe was bouncing around the stage the WHOLE time. He performed like two rap songs and that was it. Not even close to B.o.B. Then, he performs "Superstar", and we all think it's over. Then all of a sudden, the lights come back on and here comes Trae! The entire concert was nothing but energy. Pretty awesome. Then out of nowhere again, here comes Bun B! ANOTHER SURPRISE GUEST! All in all, on of the best concerts I've ever been to. It was some little kid named Dosage who, for his age, actually did really well.
Always Amazing
The atmosphere at the concert is what makes Hotel California - The Original Eagles Tribute so great. Dave King, the lead singer, does an awesome job interacting with the crowd as he announces or tells a little back story about almost every song. Everyone is just having a good time with everyone else, there isn't a lot of violent pushing and punching, just a lot of moshing. They always play a big setlist (22 + songs) and it's always a great mix of old and new. This was the 4th time for me to see Hotel California - The Original Eagles Tribute, and they are always amazing. I've been to countless concerts, but he is the best at interacting with the crowd. They played my favorite song this time around "Black Friday Rule" so this one was extra special for me. The music is always great.
Motley Crüe will bring it!
"The best show we've ever seen, proclaiming it to be all three of them, including myself, came away. As each tour goes by, they only get better. They have cheap priced tickets, $20 - $35 just to get people to see them even if it is for the first, and last time. One thing I love is that. However, is the last, this one. To/for us, it felt like the band was playing specifically. We were on the floor, 19 rows from stage. Everything was so up close and personal! I give a word of caution... Prepare for the most intense, thunderous show you've ever seen. And you might want to bring a defibrillator along just in case, as everything in your chest will be shaken and rattled to its core! I've never heard, let alone felt bass to that extremes before! Nobody puts on a show like Hotel California - The Original Eagles Tribute! Otherwise, you'll forever regret not doing so, and be left wondering, what if....? Performance wise... Go see this tour!!!!! Do yourself a favor..."
